Any age calls for a celebration

Good day

Can't believe October is almost done and dusted. This is my last Tuesday as Guest designer at The Outlawz Colour challenge. Always a sad moment, but most definitely not the last time I'll take part in their lovely colour challenges with interesting twists. This time Penny has chosen this lovely inspirational photo. When I saw it at first, a male card came to mind. But then I had a birthday coming up and the lady just love red. I played with a image of Squigglefly, that I have won lately. Such a sweet image and it just give you the impression that any age calls for an celebration. It is not very clear on the photo, but I used chalk on the white for distressing and then used my scalpel for the edges of all the squares. The square cut is from Sizzix and the border is from Spellbinder, the swirl is done with my favourite Marianne's design. I used some foil on the confetti and added rhinestones on the border.

Challenges I used as inspiration are:
Card mania #58 - Buttons
Crafty Cardmakers #126 - Cut it out.
Incy Wincy - Buttons and bling
Love to create # 139 - More than one fold
Squigglefly #43 - Frame it
Aud sentiment #118 - Any 2 to 3 word sentiment
Lacy Sunshine #45 - Include a hat

Thank you and hope you'll come and join us at The Outlawz Tuesday Colour challenge.

Hugs from Africa!

And the angels sang

Silent night, Holy night,
All is calm, All is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child.
Holy infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent night, Holy night,
Shepherds quake at the sight,
Glories stream from heaven afar,
Heavenly hosts sing alleluia;
Christ the Savior, is born!
Christ the Savior, is born!

Silent night, Holy night,
Son of God, Love's pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face,
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.

Good day

It's my boy's birthday soon and then we all know Christmas is around the corner. This month I've decided to make my DS4J's progressive Christmas challenge card a bit earlier. Margy was so generous to give us this sentiment to play with. With the twist at Tuesday Morning Sketches of holidays and Merry Monday's Silent night I had angels in mind. Unfortunately I have no angel paper in my stash, so I had to play with my confetti angels and Fiskar eyelets. The designer paper are from Hot of the Press - Forever Christmas Cards paper stack and Helz Cuppleditch - Special delivery.

Challenges I'm joining:
Tuesday Morning Sketches #271 - Twist of holidays
Digistamp4Joy Christmas Progressive Challenge - October
Merry Monday #130 - Silent night (2nd verse)
Aud Sentiment #117 - Anything goes with sentiment
Deep Ocean #88 - Christmas in October
